Master J. Deringer
Master Jim Deringer began his training in Pennsylvania at the age of 11 under the World Tang Soo Do Association. After he received his black belt he relocated to North Carolina. He began his training with Master A. Ricks in the spring of 1994, and remained with Master Ricks and the International Tang Soo Do Organization. In The fall of 2008 Master Deringer Opened the New Tang Soo Karate Academy, and still remains with The Intercontinental Tang Soo Organization headed by Master D.A. Giacobbe, from New Jersey.
Master Deringer has established himself as a strong competetitor, winning various awards and Grand Championships in Forms and Sparring between 1994 and 2005. After being promoted to 4th dan black belt in 2005, he decided to concentrate on the training of his students first and foremost.
Tradition and Loyalty are the most important aspects of Tang Soo Do, and Master Deringer is Commited to continuing the traditions of ancient Tang Soo Do.
